About me

Ocean Ahoy!

I grew up by the sea in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada for a good part of my young life, which is where I acquired my love of music. I started playing guitar, and eventually went on to complete a Bachelor of Music with a concentration in Music Education in 2011 at Acadia University.

While music fulfills me a great deal and I still continue to play, I always had a burning desire to learn more about computers and the way they work, so in 2010 I picked up my first book on Java Programming. Fast forward four years and I graduated with my Bachelor of Science with an Honours Specialization in Computer Science at the University of Western Ontario.

The Future

Currently I am a PHP developer at Olio Digital Labs in London, Ontario. I help build scalable web solutions for many businesses across Canada, touching both front and back ends on our applications. I also create both hybrid and native apps for mobile platforms that link in to our web services.
